A digital painting made for fun. Large clouds unfurl across the sky in a sea of lilacs, pale blues, indigo and subtle pinks. An old fae tree, squatting on a knoll, twists and knots as it stretches up toward it. The grass, cast in purple and red hues from the light, dances in the breeze as it grows tall and wild.
There was no particular reason behind making this piece. I find trees particularly interesting to draw. Where I live, I am surrounded by them. They have such fascinating shapes and textures, dictated by the weather, the sun, the other trees and vegetation around them, all dictating and feeding back into every twist and every branch.
